Magma is a service (the “Service”) developed by Radish AB (the “Company”) for teaching and learning mathematics and science. The application supplies users with a platform for solving problems, and for supporting the interaction between pupilss and teachers in an education setting. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with data we collect through applications and websites operated by us.

The Service collects certain personal data in order to provide requested Service to teachers, pupils, and other users. This personal data collected includes:
If a user submits any personal data relating to other people to the Service or to the Company’s service providers in connection with the Service, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit the Company to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Any user who submits data on child account holders represents that you have the authority to do so, that you are a “personal data controller” and that you have the authority to view personal data on this child account holder. This also applies to teachers, school administrators, and superintendents of school districts handling student data, that may act as the parent’s agent and can consent to the collection of a child’s information on the parent’s behalf.

Personal data controllers have access to personal data from users they have submitted to the Service and that they thereby represent that they have authority to access. This specifically relates to teachers and other personnel at educational institutions who enter child account holders' personal information in the Service. Information is shared with such personal data controllers in order to provide the Services’ functionality.

As a data subject, users have many rights regarding personal data which is collected and stored. In summary, these include:
Personal data will be removed at the request of users and educational institutions responsible for personal data. The criteria for determining the retention period are based on our agreement with your educational institution, the legal obligations we must adhere to, and our legitimate interest to communicate with you in order to manage the service.
5. Data security and disclosure
Data collected through Magma is stored within the European Union where we use subcontractors approved by educational institutions and users through the user agreement. We will not sell or lease any of your personal data in personally identifiable form to anyone without prior information. We share such personal data in personally identifiable form with third parties as described below.
The Company uses appropriate measures to protect it against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage. Users are requested to prevent unauthorized access to personal accounts and personal data by protecting personal credentials appropriately and limiting access to personal computers or devices. Magma limits employee access to personal data pertaining to users based on roles and responsibilities to maintain security and confidentiality of users' personal data.
Whenever data is used for purposes such as statistics or general user activity monitoring, we anonymize the data.
