Magma Maths is delighted to share a video featuring Peareswood Primary School, part of the Woodland Academy Trust, and their journey with Magma Maths. This partnership demonstrates the positive impact of technology in education and aligns with the Trust's vision for inclusive, innovative, and high-quality learning.

At Magma Maths, we understand the importance of easy and seamless integration when enrolling a new digital learning platform. We had the amazing opportunity of visiting Peareswood Primary School, part of the esteemed Woodland Academy Trust, to discuss their way of integrating Magma Maths and how that has helped both teachers and pupils in the classroom.

"At Woodland Academy Trust, our approach is guided by inclusivity and empowerment, ensuring every child can succeed. Magma Maths aligns perfectly with our philosophy by offering flexible, personalised learning experiences that break down barriers and inspire critical thinking and curiosity." says Julie Carson, Director of Education at Woodland Academy Trust.

And those words echo through our heads as we enter Nicole O’Leary’s classroom at Peareswood Primary School. “I love how many different ways there are to use it. There’s like a little bot that tells you a hint to work it out, so it makes it a little bit easier. It’s really fun because it’s like different ways to learn” says one of her pupils. Another pupil quickly joins in, telling us that he likes the bit where you can add shapes and different colours whilst eagerly showing his calculations.

And the teachers agree:

"Magma Maths has transformed how we approach mathematics. It not only helps pupils grasp complex concepts but also empowers teachers to adapt their strategies based on real-time insights. It’s a game-changer for both teaching and learning." Nicole says. “I feel like it’s making me a better teacher because I can quickly identify those children who are struggling and then we can do a quick mini plenary. And when they get that light bulb moment, it’s just amazing to see.”

This collaboration underscores a shared vision between Magma Maths and Woodland Academy Trust: creating an education system that leverages the best of technology and pedagogy to inspire lifelong learning and equip pupils with the skills they need to thrive.

“It allows the teacher to be free and in the moment in the classroom, really working with the students and doing what they do best and what they came into the profession to do.” Daniel Davies adds. “the impact on the children’s faces - they’re so engaged with it”
