We have studied test scores on the Swedish National Exams for students who used Magma Math in their math education. The study shows a significant positive impact on student achievement, with the Fail Rate dropping by 25% compared to previous results. In addition to the quantitative data, teachers claim that Magma Math helps students to practice and improve their outcomes on National Exams.

To evaluate the impact of Magma Math on student achievement, we surveyed teachers using Magma with Year 6 students taking the National Exam during the spring of 2022. Seventy-three teachers responded to the survey, representing 2,111 Year 6 students from across the country, with schools spanning various socio-economic ranges. By comparing the 2022 results with results from previous years, we found that the Fail Rate was 25% lower in the population of students who had used Magma. Additionally, when weighing results to the socio-economic index for each respective school, we saw a Fail Rate decrease of 20%.

We also surveyed teachers regarding their impression of how Magma impacted student achievement. 97% of responses indicated that Magma has, or might have, positively impacted student achievement. These findings support the quantitative results that using Magma in classrooms improves student achievement. 

In summary, the overall study supports that Magma helps students improve their results on National Exams. We encourage additional research into which teaching strategies and intervention methods are most efficient in achieving this positive outcome.
